Caption.IM

Caption.IM is an iOS app that turns spoken words in a video into animated subtitles. It’s aimed at creators, small business owners and digital marketers who want readable, styled captions without doing the typing themselves.

You import video from your camera roll, cloud storage or external URLs and let the app’s speech-to-text AI create the transcript. Captions can be edited with a single tap to fix small errors, and you can pick from various animated styles, fonts, colours and layouts so the text suits your branding and the platform you’re posting to.

Export options cover common needs: hardcoded subtitles, plain text and .srt files for platforms that use caption files. The app is optimised for Apple devices, and the basic version is free.
