Memex

Memex is an open-source, local-first AI journal for iOS and Android that helps you gather notes, photos, voice memos, reminders and other everyday fragments in one place.

The app converts those entries into timeline-style cards and searchable memories, making it easier to find details later, keep track of goals and follow threads of thought over time.

Your original records remain on your device as portable local data. You can pick your AI provider, including cloud models or local options such as Ollama, so the AI assists with organising and retrieval without automatically sending everything to a cloud service.

Memex is aimed at people who want an AI-assisted personal journal while retaining ownership of their data. It works as a diary, photo journal, searchable life log and a simple place to connect ideas over time. https://www.memexlab.ai/
