mp3tomidi

mp3tomidi is an online converter that turns audio files into editable MIDI (.mid) files without installing any program. It accepts common formats such as MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC and FLAC. After you upload a clip the service analyses the melody and outputs a MIDI you can download and take into a DAW or notation app.

The resulting MIDI can be opened in Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, GarageBand, MuseScore and other compatible software for further editing, instrument changes, or score preparation. The tool suits short, clean recordings with a clear single melody — humming, vocal lines, piano or guitar phrases and simple solo performances tend to give the best results.

mp3tomidi works best for capturing melody ideas and saving the time of entering notes by hand. Complex mixes, percussion-heavy tracks, noisy recordings or files with several instruments may be less accurate. The service is free to try, and paid plans allow larger files and more conversions.
