Riffloop
FreemiumRiffloop turns YouTube videos or uploaded tracks into practice-ready stems with looping, pitch and tempo controls for musicians and teachers.
Riffloop is a practice tool for musicians, singers, teachers and producers. It converts YouTube videos or audio you upload into an interactive practice workspace, and is available as a freemium service. The aim is to keep everything you need in one place so you don’t have to jump between multiple music programs.
It works directly in the browser via an extension for YouTube and also accepts local audio files. All audio processing happens on your device rather than in the cloud, so files and playback stay private and you don’t wait on server-side processing.
The app’s AI separates songs into six stems — vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and the remaining instruments — and gives independent volume, solo and mute controls. That makes it easy to isolate a guitar solo, drop out the vocals for singing practice, or focus on a drummer’s part.
Practice-focused controls include precise A–B looping, beat-aware loop placement, and tempo adjustment down to 25% while keeping pitch intact. Key features include:
- Six-track stem separation with solo/mute and level controls
- Browser extension for YouTube plus local audio uploads
- A–B looping and beat-aware loop controls
- Tempo slowing with pitch preservation
- Local-first processing for privacy and speed
