Sexual Repression Index Calculator

In a world filled with noise and misinformation, understanding our innermost selves can feel like a daunting task. The landscape of human sexuality, in particular, is complex, deeply personal, and often shrouded in cultural taboo or shame. It's a space where genuine curiosity is met with judgment, and the search for clarity often leads to more confusion.

This is why SRQuiz was created. Our mission is to provide a safe, anonymous, and scientifically-grounded tool that empowers individuals to explore their psychological tendencies related to sexuality. We believe that self-awareness is the first step toward personal growth, healthier relationships, and a more integrated sense of self. We are not here to label or diagnose, but to offer a private, reflective mirror based on established psychological frameworks.

What Makes SRQuiz Different?

In the wake of the original open-source project's popularity, numerous clones have appeared online. Many are simple copies, lacking the depth, privacy, and technical refinement necessary for such a sensitive topic. Our version is a dedicated effort to not only preserve the valuable core of the original tool but to elevate it into a best-in-class experience.

Privacy by Design: This is our non-negotiable foundation. Unlike other tools that might track submissions for counters or analytics, SRQuiz operates 100% on your device. All calculations happen in your browser. We do not have a server to store your answers or results. We cannot see them. We do not want to see them. Your journey is yours alone.

Grounded in Science: We stand against pseudoscience and pop psychology. Our assessment is built upon a framework of internationally recognized and rigorously validated psychometric scales, including the Sexual Inhibition/Sexual Excitation Scales (SIS/SES) and the Mosher Guilt Inventory. We provide a dedicated "Scientific Basis" page so you can understand the research behind the questions you're answering.

Superior User Experience: We re-engineered the entire platform using Next.js, a modern web framework, to ensure a faster, smoother, and more intuitive experience on any device. From thoughtful design details to a seamless assessment flow, every element is crafted to create a calm and focused environment for self-reflection.

Actionable Insights, Not Just a Score: Getting a number is easy. Understanding what it means is the real challenge. We are committed to providing detailed, nuanced interpretations of your results. More importantly, we offer guidance and resources for what comes next—whether it's topics for personal reflection, communication strategies for partners, or guidance on seeking professional help.

Globally Accessible: Recognizing that these are universal human questions, we have built a fully multilingual platform. Our internationalization (i18n) architecture ensures that both English and Chinese-speaking users can have an equally authentic and precise experience.
