PassWizard
FreePassWizard is a free, browser-only password toolkit that generates secure secrets, QR Wi‑Fi codes and breach checks for privacy-conscious users.
PassWizard is a free security toolkit that runs entirely in your browser so secrets never leave your device. Passwords are generated with the browser’s Web Crypto API using rejection sampling for cryptographically sound randomness, and the UI shows live entropy bits and estimated crack times. You can tweak character sets, choose up to 64 characters, or create passphrases using the EFF wordlist.
The WiFi QR designer converts network credentials into a scannable QR, with options for shapes, colours and adding a logo, while keeping the actual password hidden. QR and password generation happen on-device.
For breach checking, PassWizard uses Have I Been Pwned’s k-anonymity API: only the first five characters of a local SHA‑1 hash are sent, never the password itself. The project also collects security guides and referenced statistics on topics like cracking times, 2FA, password managers and safe sharing.
