ServerBuddy is a free directory for public Minecraft servers that monitors Java and Bedrock hosts in real time. Instead of static listings or paid placements, it polls servers for things like online status, player count, server version, MOTD, uptime, region and basic player history so listings reflect what’s actually happening now.

Players can filter and browse by playstyle, edition, version, region and current activity to find worlds that are online and active. Each server page includes the connection address, live availability and recent reliability, along with metadata about the server type — Survival, SMP, Skyblock, BedWars, Pixelmon, Modded, PvP, Prison and so on.

For server owners, adding a listing is free and doesn’t require an account. Submissions are validated with a live ping, and ServerBuddy keeps polling the server over time so the profile accumulates uptime and activity trends. That makes the site useful as a lightweight visibility and monitoring layer for public communities.

There are also a number of owner-focused utilities to help prepare and promote a server, including:

  • server status lookup and connection diagnostics
  • server.properties generation and whitelist helpers
  • MOTD design, colour code references and icon creation
  • name generation and social card creation
