BonSplit is a web-based tool for managing shared household spending, built to work without installing an app. It scans receipts, recognises individual products, categorises purchases and assigns items to the right person so bills can be divided down to each line item.

The receipt scanner accepts photos, PDFs and screenshots from online stores, then extracts product names, prices and categories automatically. The platform offers detailed categorisation across more than 28 categories, which makes it easier to see exactly what’s driving grocery, subscription or utility costs.

It’s aimed at couples, families and flatmates who need to separate shared and personal purchases and settle balances without spreadsheets or long message threads. Extras include a shared shopping list, recurring payment templates, a receipt archive and CSV/PDF export. Pricing is freemium: a free plan with a limited number of receipt scans plus the option to buy one-time, never-expiring scan packs for heavier use.
